Things people actually text Hazel

Not hypotheticals. These are the kinds of texts Hazel gets on a random Tuesday.

“Remind me to put the recycling out Thursday night.”

“My granddaughter's recital is the 14th at 4pm.”

“What's the number for my eye doctor?”

“What was that soup recipe I saved last winter?”

“The Wi-Fi password is on the fridge, right?”

“Remind me to call my sister on her birthday, the 22nd.”

“Save this: the plumber's number is 555-0148.”

“What time is my dentist appointment tomorrow?”

“Is it supposed to rain this weekend? I want to work in the garden.”

It compounds

On day one, Hazel knows nothing. By month three, she knows your family's birthdays, your doctors, your favorite recipes, and every little thing you've asked her to remember. All from casual texts you barely remember sending.

“Text Hazel anything you want to remember. She keeps it, and gives it back exactly when you ask.”

Just a text message. Nothing to download, nothing to configure.

Try it now — text Hazel
A Quiet Safety Net

Not a check-in. Not a chore. Just a little watching out.

You never have to check in with Hazel. Any normal text keeps things going. Here's exactly what happens if she doesn't hear from you for a while — nothing more, nothing hidden.

No daily check-ins

Texting Hazel about anything — a reminder, a question, just talking — resets the clock. There's nothing to remember to do.

If she doesn't hear from you

After a day and a half of quiet, Hazel checks in herself — a simple, low-key text. A reply is all it takes.

If that goes unanswered

After two days of quiet, Hazel reaches out to someone on your own contact list — starting with whoever's closest, so someone can actually check on you.

Nothing without your say-so

Anyone on your list has to agree first. And you can turn the whole thing off anytime — just text MUTE, no explanation needed.

Hazel is not an emergency service. If something is seriously wrong, call 911 or an emergency contact directly. Her messages are never urgent alerts — just a plain ask, like “could you stop by or give them a call?”

How Hazel Works

You text. She remembers.

01

Text what you want to remember

An appointment, a birthday, a phone number — say it the way you'd tell a friend.

02

Hazel keeps it

No forms, no folders. She quietly holds onto it until you need it.

03

Ask for it, anytime

A week later or a year later — she'll have it.

Questions

Good questions. Quick answers.

What is Hazel?

Hazel is reminders, memory, and a quiet safety net, all over SMS. No app, no account. Just text her the way you'd text anyone else.

How do I get started?

Just text the number above — (929) 828-4141. Hazel introduces herself right away and you can start asking her to remember things immediately. No forms, no downloads, nothing to set up first.

Do I need a smartphone or the internet?

No. Hazel works over regular text messages. Any phone that can send and receive texts works.

I'm not very good with texting — is that a problem?

Not at all. Talk to Hazel exactly like you'd talk to a person — you don't need perfect spelling or the right words. Just say what you mean and she'll figure it out.

Can my family read my texts with Hazel?

No, not by default. Your conversation with Hazel belongs to you — she never shares it with anyone automatically. If you ever want a family member to see a simple status, you can turn that on yourself, and text WHO SEES THIS anytime to see exactly who has access and remove them.

Is Hazel a medical alert device or emergency service?

No. Hazel is not 911 and not a medical alert system. If there's a real emergency, always call 911 or your emergency contact directly. Her only job is reminders, company, and a quiet check if she hasn't heard from you in a while.

What happens if I don't answer a text?

Nothing, right away — any ordinary text to Hazel resets the clock, so there's no daily ritual to keep up with. If she genuinely hasn't heard from you in a day and a half, she'll check in herself. If that goes unanswered for another day, she'll reach out to someone on your own contact list.

How does Hazel know who to contact if she doesn't hear from me?

You tell her, the same way you'd tell her anything else. Text something like “If you don't hear from me, check in with my daughter Sam — her number is 555-0199,” and she'll save it. You can add or change this anytime.

Can I turn this off?

Yes. Text MUTE anytime and Hazel stops — no explanation needed.

Is there a real person I can talk to?

Yes — a real phone number is always available if you'd rather talk to someone than text.

Does texting Hazel cost anything?

Hazel is free to use. Standard text messaging rates from your phone carrier may apply.

What if I want to stop hearing from Hazel altogether?

Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts, or HELP if you need assistance.

Yours, Not Theirs

Privacy isn't a policy. It's how this works.

This thread belongs to you. By default, no one else can read it — not a summary, not a transcript. Nothing.

No one reads your texts by default

Not a summary. Not a transcript. Nothing — unless you say so.

You decide who sees anything

If you want family to see a simple status, you can turn that on. It's never automatic — not for anyone, unless you say so.

See who has access, anytime

Text WHO SEES THIS and Hazel lists exactly who can see your status. Revoke anyone with a single text.

Turn it off just as easily

Switch back to fully private anytime. It takes effect immediately.
